WELCOME TO OUR GUESTS - If you are visiting today, you are not a visitor but our GUEST. We have a “Family & Friends Fun Night” gift basket prepared especially for you! The basket can be picked up at our information area in the lobby. Also, please fill out the guest card and either place it in the offering plate or give it to one of our greeters. We want to know you better. If you need anything at all, feel free to ask any of our regular attendees, Pastors, Ushers or Greeters. We are here to help.

DON'T FORGET! – Help us to avoid unnecessary distractions in our Sunday Worship Service: turn all cell phones and other tech devices off, go to the restroom before church, and remember that we are no longer allowing food or beverages in the worship area during our worship service. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

SPECIAL SUNDAY SCHOOL TODAY – Pastor Steve will bring closure to the DVD series “That The World May Know” – Prophets and Kings from the Old Testament TODAY at 11:30 AM during Sunday School. Grab a donut or bagel and a cup of coffee and join us as we travel to the Holy Land via DVD. Great discussion will follow the DVD viewing. Bring your Bibles .

GIVING RECEIPTS ARE NOW AVAILABLE! – Thank you for your financial stewardship in 2008. You may see David & Lisa Weiss any Sunday in January to get your financial giving receipt for tax purposes and also to get your new box of giving envelopes for 2009. We are requesting that people pick up their 2009 envelopes to save the church the expense of mailing them. If you have questions, the Weiss’ can be reached at (248) 866-9278 or lweiss@mail.com . If you are new to giving at ORCN, they would be happy to get you your own numbered set of envelopes. FIREPROOF YOUR MARRIAGE – An all church viewing of the Fireproof Video will happen Sunday, February 15, 2009. Exact time and location to be announced… It’s no secret that U.S. marriages are in crisis. “Fireproof” mirrors the problems of many marriages, in this case through a firefighter whose high-stress job spills into his home life. Hitting on pain points common to married life—from indifference to insults to emotional affairs and internet porn—the story opens with a couple’s disintegration. Most movies are about relationships that lead to marriage. "Fireproof" picks up seven years into a marriage headed for divorce. And the question is: Can a cold marriage revive? Why stay together? This movie is about fireproofing your most important earthly relationship, marriage.

I have had an amazing few months so far and can't wait to see what happens throughout the next 3 years.

ORCN VALET SERVICE AVAILABLE – Orchard Ridge Church provides valet parking assistance to those who need it as you arrive at church. We realize that some of our seniors, parents with small children and those with physical challenges find it difficult to park and walk through the parking lot – especially on bad weather days. So just pull your car up to the door and look for one of our greeters at the curb. They'll be wearing neon green vests. They'll help you out of your car, park it, and return your keys immediately. They'll also get your car for you after church if you need it. Contact Eddie Simcox (586) 677- 4962 or Jeff Morgan (586) 784-4250 for questions or if you would like to be a driver. You must be over 18 to participate as a driver in this ministry.

CREATIVE ARTS MINISTRY – Are you gifted in the arts? Worship Arts Leader, RJ Helguera, is challenging you to use your gifts! We need drama people, instrumental and vocal musicians, sound techs and more. The Orchard Ridge Worship Arts Team could be a great fit for you! If you are interested in serving with us, and would like to learn more, please contact RJ Helguera at (248) 840-5702, or by e-mail at rj@orcn.info .
